An Accra High Court presided over by Justice Gertrude Torkonu has dismissed a preliminary objection raised by lawyers of the 14 judges implicated in the judicial scandal over an application by the State for their case against the probing committee set up by the Chief Justice to be struck out.
The Court on Friday held that the State is justified to apply for the dismissal of the case.
Ruling on both the case for the injunction and the struck out have been adjourned to September 29.
Chief Justice, Her Ladyship, Justice Georgina Theodora Wood has appointed Justice Gertrude Torkonu to handle all cases filed on the judicial corruption scandal.
The Chief Justice is yet to establish a prima facie case against the 12 High Court Judges who have been implicated in the investigate work done by ace Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team.
