The show opened up with Dela Hayes and
her all-female band followed by Trigmatic who was the youngest art on
the bill. Trigmatic knew the kind of audience he’s performing to and he
exhibited pure talent and dynamism.
Gyedu-Blay Ambulley dropped a new song highlighting the corruption in society which got the audience excited. The “Simigwa Do Man” showed sublime display garnished with apt traditional artistry.
When the Ivorian megastar Freddy
Meiway hit the stage with his ‘Lolo Girls’, the whole house went
enthusiastic. The Zoblazo man’s performance got the audience including
Ghana’s former First Lady, Nana Agyeman Konadu Rawlings dancing to his timeless music.
Abrantie Amakye Dede, the ‘SERIOUS’ man didn’t disappoint as he capped the night with one of his classical performances that the former first lady just couldn’t help dancing.
The African Legends Night is an annual music concert to celebrate legends who have exhibited the successes of Africa through music. This year’s was the fourth edition in five years.
